Community Monitoring Support
Tree Monitoring Cards and Posters are educational resources designed to support public awareness, community monitoring, and early detection of emerald ash borer (EAB) and Dutch elm disease (DED) in Alberta.
They help people recognize ash and elm trees, identify signs and symptoms, and know how to report potential concerns through established pathways. Easy to carry, share, and display, these resources are well suited for community outreach, educational programs, public engagement events, and client-facing conversations, helping place practical information into the hands of those most likely to notice changes in tree health near them.
Together with the project's iNaturalist initiative, they can also help support the documentation and mapping of community observations across Alberta.
